IMPLEMENTATION OF MARRIAGE REGISTRATION IN MARRIAGE (CASE STUDY IN TANJUNG BALAI SUMUT)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of marriage registration in the Tanjung Balai City area. This study uses a sociological juridical approach model, namely an approach to examine the application of article 2 paragraph 2 of Law no. 1 of 1974 to get an explanation regarding its application in the community. The results of the study show that the implementation of marriage registration has been carried out, but there are still people who have not done it. The obstacles that hinder its implementation are the economy, customs, and culture, the previous divorce process that has not been carried out, and the obstacle of age.
